How do I make contact
during the week of camp?
There are no personal phones in dorm rooms
for incoming/outgoing calls. The dormitory
has pay phones for outgoing calls.
Parent's incoming calls should be limited
to emergencies only and can be made
to the following numbers:
Anytime: Call
724-946-7355 to leave a message on voice
mail. Messages will be checked twice
daily, once in the a.m. and once in the
p.m.
For
emergencies needing immediate attention:

If there is no
answer at the RYLA Director's no.: call
campus security dispatch 724-656-2258
only if there is a vital emergency or
family crisis.
Do I need money for the
week?
All meals will
be provided throughout the week for the
students. There is a campus bookstore, and
counselors will walk with students to
local stores in the event that something
is needed for purchasing.
What should I wear?
Attire for the Conference will be casual.
Prepare for the weather accordingly and
changes in the weather during the
day. Dinner with the New Wilmington Rotary
Club on Monday, and the final program on
Friday will require more formal attire --
"dinner dress" -- khakis for guys and
dress pants or dresses for girls.
What should I bring?
Athletic
equipment (tennis racket, softball glove,
Frisbees, etc.) and Board games
Swimsuit
(there may be an opportunity to visit the
New Wilmington Borough Pool during free
time with a counselor)
Washcloths,
towels
Toiletries
Pillow
Linens for a
single bed
Blanket
Fan (if the
weather is warm)
Clock (with an
alarm)
Spending money

instruments
Can I drive to the
conference myself?
Students may drive, however, the vehicle
must be parked for the week and keys
relinquished to the Director.
When is the conference
over?
The conference will end around 9:00 pm
June 19th.
How are roommates chosen?
The information submitted with your
online registration will assist
counselors in placing you with a
compatible roommate. Students from the
same school are generally not placed
together (except for medical reasons.)
